Once again Andover High School has a chance to commit itself to something that impacts human beings around the world! The Andover Sophomore Board is participating in the Relay For Life, an organization for cancer research. They have pledged to raise at least 1000 dollars while spreading awareness about cancer to the community. To raise money, the Board is selling t-shirts with the “2017” logo and other creative things as part of a fundraiser for cancer.

T-shirts are not the only types of fundraisers though; the Board will also be present at big sporting events and other community related events at the school, emphasizing the awareness of cancer and promoting respect for those who are currently fighting it. The Board is also organizing a Cancer Awarenesss Week in May, during which they are planning interesting events such as a cancer spirit day. During cancer spirit day, Sophomore Board will urge everyone to wear their “2017” t-shirts or something else with cancer related themes.

Relay for Life is an event at different schools where many different communities gather to walk in homage to those who are fighting cancer, with the ultimate goal of raising money for cancer research. Therefore, the Sophomore Board is commiting themselves to this program. Now all they need is you and the rest of the people at Andover High to help them successfully accomplish what they have set out to do.
