athletic director. Mr. Doucette will be a very positive addition to the high school community. As AHS begins a new era, the Warrior Weekly went around the horn with Doucette.

Hometown: Melrose, Mass.

Alma Mater: Boston State College

Favorite Sports Team: Boston Red Sox

High School Sports: Basketball, Football

What are you looking forward to as the A.D? “It is a big job and it will definitely be a challenge. However I’m very excited to take on the responsibility at one of the top five Division I athletic programs in the state.”

What are the biggest changes students will see within the Athletic Department? “The biggest change will be the development of the student leadership program. I also plan to integrate leaders of other clubs to engage in the leadership activities. This program should take shape in the fall.”

What’s the biggest challenge facing student athletes? “The biggest challenge is to block out distractions, and to keep priorities straight.”

How will the addition of North Andover change the outlook of the conference? “It will be a great addition to our conference; they are very strong in certain sports. Any time you add a component of competition it is a positive.”
